How this site makes money, and what that does not buy
Written in plain language, because a disclosure nobody can read is not a disclosure.
Affiliate disclosure
The Supplement Digest earns money through affiliate links. When you click a link on a review and go on to buy the product, the seller pays this site a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid arriving any other way. The commission is deducted from the seller's side, not added to yours.
Three details that most affiliate disclosures leave out, stated here because they are true:
- The commission is larger on larger packages. If a review recommends a bigger package, the site earns more if you follow that advice. We say this again inside the paragraph where the recommendation is made, so you can weigh it there rather than remember it from here.
- Most products we review are sold through affiliate networks such as ClickBank, which also acts as the retailer of record and processes refunds. The charge on your bank statement will usually show the network's name rather than the product's.
- Links that earn a commission are marked with
rel="sponsored"in the page code, in line with Google's guidelines, and every review carrying such links states so in a visible notice above the article.
What a commission does not buy
It does not buy the score. Scores are calculated on the five criteria published on the how we review page, and the breakdown is printed in the review so the arithmetic can be checked.
It does not buy silence about a product's weak points. Where a label hides amounts, where a guarantee is shorter than the supply it covers, where an ingredient carries a caution, the review says so, including when saying so costs a sale.
It does not buy a manufacturer any say in the text. No company reviewed on this site pays for coverage, sees a review before publication, or can alter one after it. Where we have asked a manufacturer a question, the review says whether it answered.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the United States Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 CFR Part 255. We do not publish testimonials, reader results or before and after photographs, and we do not claim personal use of products we have not used.

The products reviewed here are dietary supplements. Under United States law they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and statements about them have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Where a review discusses research on an ingredient, that research is on the ingredient rather than on the finished product unless the review says otherwise, and it should not be read as a claim that the product treats any condition.
Symptoms that persist or worsen need a doctor. Anyone who is pregnant, nursing, under 18, living with a diagnosed condition, or taking prescription medication should speak to a physician or pharmacist before starting any supplement, because several common supplement ingredients are documented to interact with prescription medicines.
Accuracy
We work from the printed label, the live checkout and indexed primary research, and we record the date on which prices were checked. Prices, packages and refund terms change without notice.
